Detailed evaluation of my presentation
My research contributed to the presentation, as I highlighted the key words for my chosen question and went through it and researched it looking at books or on the internet. I included the key main key concepts such as audience, narrative, genre and so forth. Moreover, I included key theories and related it to back my research and how it links in together. When I had made a point I would always refer to examples to make the statement look correct and allow the audience to understand it furthermore.
The delivery of my presentation is when I had presented it in front of the class I was really nervous, therefore I failed to make eye-contact with the audience. And as I didn't rehearse enough for my slide-show the 15 seconds went really fast therefore I found myself speaking really fast, this is a drawback as the audience may have failed to understand what I was explaining.
The topic area chosen is the representation of women in the music industry, and how has the internet impacted the representation.I am showing this by linking it to an example such as a music video. This will be negatively representing the females in the music industry and I will be giving clear examples on how the internet has strongly impacted them. With this I need to give both sides for the judgement and conclude it with my personal opinion, and I chose this topic because women have been changing over the course of time. And this links in with 'feminism' for an example. Rihanna and Adele have binary opposition as Rhianna strongly feels if she's going out with a range of guys she shouldn't be named a 'slut'. And she has strong values and opinion, she shows this through her music video strongly, this is a prime example which I used in my slideshow.
I plan to develop the presentation into an extended academic essay by doing more research on 'realistic examples' of how the internet has strongly impacted a singer. And discuss this, I have researched some music videos and have identified how the women are being represented. But I feel there can be more videos out there that strongly relate to my question, therefore I'm going to look at more videos and finally come to a conclusion which one I'm choosing and why.

NDM story
We have abandoned our children to the internet

Young people are addicted to a virtual world that is designed to keep them hooked with little care for collateral damage
http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2013/sep/13/abandoned-children-internet-addicted-virtual-damage
A woman finds half a dozen teens on their mobile phones, and computer attached to it in their hand. She thus decides to create a documentary, she did this for a year. Viewing teen boys as never before, identifying them watching porn in their room.
She discovers how teens are pressurized, and are having anxieties in keep their image. They're terrified if they are being left out. The woman documenting this film was shocked how angry teenagers are, because of being abandoned by their parents they therefore turn to electronic devices. 'Luis Von Ahn' "admits that the industry knowingly designs to addict, but he puts faith in the fact that the people at the heart of the industry are genuinely good people with positive values. The report stated asking a youth to put down their x box, phone or shut their laptop is similar to asking an alcoholic to put down their drink. Youths further state that they admit they do not feel "in control" of their own internet use. To conclude, becoming an adult human requires imitation and role models which takes patience and practice. It also needs both solitude and community. Many children now have smartphones in the hands that adults should be holding.
Keep it simple: smartphone world is full of failures that didn't follow that maxim
Samsung believes you can't have too much of a 'good' thing while the iPhone succeeded because it made things simple
Samsung (Android) has made a choice that you can't have to much of a good, or bad thing. That's why there phones offer features such as: air gesture, air command, smart stay, smart scroll. Whilst using the camera, you are allowed to get choices including dual shot, drama, sound and shot, story album etc. In this article it is showing the dramatic race between several companies for 'mobile devises' who's is better, and what advantage does another company have. Comparing it from long ago, for example Japanese 'hi-fi companies' were successful but are no longer in the leading race as they have made no improvements. The article includes saying "the kitchen-sink approach appeals to our desire to have more stuffbut complexity carries a cost, in attention if nothing else. We might not fly fasten than light, or zap matter- but even if we do, we'll still need simplicity." As back in the days adults didn't often use phones and are now getting the hang of it, the more complex it is the difficult it is for them to use it and they would then stick to simple smart wear phones. Therefore, this article suggests we need simplicity.

Top explicit videos (females)
In this video Lady Gaga "Alejandro" shows herself explicitly as she makes the cut due to her 'nude lingerie', she includes 'sexy dancing' and the report further states S&M action. Due to this video there has already been many many complaints. The first group who took offence was the League of Engineering Drafts people, not only did Gaga include violent rampage led by the recently unseated parliamentary representative from the Ministry of Silly Walks, (this is a popular comedy sketch through this, they walk in a variety of silly ways: this is used more than dialogue.) However this wasn't the only issue, they had a problem with how women are grossly underrepresented in their field.
The next top 'hot' music video for females is Shakira "She Wolf". In her previous video hips never lie she moved her 'booty a lot'. But in this video Shakira brings sex apppeal to a very high level as she dances in a nude leotard in a cage. Shakira exclusively tells an online source named 'Hollyscoop' "She wolf is the woman of our time. It's not only me, it's you, it's every woman out there wanting to defend our liberties. I think that freedom is the safest road to happiness."
This is a picture captured from the Lady Gaga's music video. "The men are in enormous under crackers doing a dance routine". This is offensive to both people with a distaste for "nude" underwear, and too those who think that wearing slimming support garments is restrictive of the natural human form! This is hugely influencing woman and even men in this generation that people can look beautiful by wearing less clothes. Gaga is representing woman in the music industry, as careless and rude. As there are many young kids (girls) who look up to celebrities. Therefore, Gaga is setting a negative example and because of these types of videos representation of woman are negatively impacted due to the internet.

Comparison of two celebrities
Recently, a record executive has launched this latest news about the music industry's attitudes, claiming the insistence on over- sexualising female artists has led to "boring, crass and unoriginal" music. This is mainly because female artists are mainly focusing on themselves rather than giving importance to their lyrics.
Adele's record-breaking second album which was entitled 21, which has spent 15 of the last 17 weeks at number 1. Which smashed Madonna's record of nine weeks in the top slot, Russell further stated "almost political and sort of radical".
He further adds about Adele "It is clearly about the music and the talent and the things it is meant to be about. I think there has been a certain amount of confusion, and it's resulting in garbage being sold and marketing with little real value to it, Adele is a good thing to be happening. That a strong female performer could succeed without bowing to pressure to conform to a certain body type of being over-sexualised, was "unbelievable" he said. Adele spoke openly about her image in an interview with Q magazine, which she said that a sexualised image did not fit her music. "If you've got it, flaunt it, if it works with your music," she said.
Adele further stated "I can't imagine having guns and whipped cream coming out of my body. Even if I had Rhianna's body I'd still be making the music I make and that don't go together." This evidently shows that the internet has positively impacted Adele as she is mainly focusing on her music, she is setting a very good example for the coming generation as she will have a positive impact upon them. Adele is being represented as a good example in the music industry whilst others such as Rhianna get criticized and at times break the rules of ofcom.

'Tweets' that female celebrities share on social networking sites

I'm thrilled to reveal #KILLERQUEEN Own the Throne! pic.twitter.com/Ae0fDm9Bb0
It evidently shows here how over times celebrities are rapidly changing year by year. In the modern world woman are more free, show that they are stronger and are individually independent. Katy Perry is a well known american singer, songwriter, businesswoman and actress. In this ad she is delivering to the world she is show casting her perfume 'killer queen'. The picture reveals a lot more, she is wearing a crown which shows she is trying to show the audience she have high authority in some sort similar to a princess/queen. This is already showing independence, strength and authority woman in a whole are having. Her body language is useful to as she is upright showing a very elegant side to her. The background at the back is very antique and royal looking. However, it's not so elegant looking as her dress is short and tight fitted. Moreover, her tights look very explicit and are very see through. But this is the balanced look she is show casing to the world through a social networking site. The title itself states 'own the throne' which is indicating to us that any of her fans can look like her, or have similar power to her whilst wearing the perfume. The chair is also tilted this undermines the statement of royalty because she is misusing the props, which shows how she wants to show cast herself to her audience. She is now being represented as a beautiful modern looking woman in our day, who has a lot of money which is showing here equals power.

"The real CAKE isn't HAVING what you want, It's DOING what you want."

This is shot for Lady Gaga's upcoming video by Terry Richardson. The statement above is musically, the story of "Cake" began on September 19th when a DJ, (producer) for Lady Gaga's Born this way album, posted the beat and encouraged his twitter followers to help him write a song about Gaga on Garage Band. He posted the track after loving it, under "Cake like Lady Gaga". As my main focus for my essay is entitled: How is the introduction of the internet impacted, upon the representation of woman in the music industry such as a (music video)? As the DJ first introduced the music and entitled it with 'cake' with very explicit words in the song, they first told twitter about it and they got so many mentions, retweets and favourites so they knew what the audiences like! Therefore the music video came and imitated the lyrics. As there are several social networking sites on the internet today, musicians like gaga get to know by offering a preview if their audiences like it. And she is therefore represented as how the audiences on the internet wish to see her which is being explicit, and going crazy! just like this picture shown here.
